Cricketer Sunny gets bail, no bar on release

Staff Correspondent:Cricketer Arafat Sunny on Wednesday got bail in a case filed under the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Act.

Judge KM Shamsul Alam of the Cyber Tribunal released him after Nasrin Sultana, the woman who claimed to be Sunny’s wife, said she had no objection with the bail.

Sunny’s lawyer moved a petition seeking bail in the case. Now there is no valid bar to get release from the jail, said one of Sunny’s lawyers.

On March 9, Sunny secured a month’s bail in the torture case filed by Nasrin.
