A Dhaka University (DU) student was killed and two others were wounded in a landslide in Himchhari fountain, 5 km off the beach town of Cox's Bazar, on Saturday afternoon, reports BSS.
The victim was identified as Ridwanul Alam Sabbir, 22, a second year student of Marketing Department and resident of Uttara in Dhaka.
In-charge of Himchhari police camp M Mozammel Haque said a big chunk of hill fell down on them while they were taking bath at the fountain at about 4:00 pm.
The wounded were rushed to Cox's Bazar Sadar hospital.
Ridwanul Alam Sabbir died on the way to the hospital, said Imran Uddin, a doctor of the hospital.
