Fakhrul blames law and order situation�over MP's murder

Staff Correspondent:BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir said, the killing of Gaibandha Awami League lawmaker Manzurul Islam Liton at his home proves that law and order situation has deteriorated.

Litonwas shot at point blank range by some miscreants at his village home at Masterpara of Sundarbans Upazila on Saturday evening. He was admitted to Rangpur Medical College Hospital, where on-duty doctors confirmed his death.

Fakhrul expressed his shock over the MP's death and said the government has 'totally failed to maintain law and order situation.' The BNP leader was talking to reporters in front of BNP founder Ziaur Rahman�s grave at Jatiya Sangsad premises in Dhaka.
