A man and his minor daughter were killed while his wife sustained injuries when a bus hit his motorbike on Bagerhat-Khulna highway at Kathaltala in Fakirhat upazila on Wednesday.
The deceased were identified as Anisuzzaman, 40, and his daughter Ranisa, 4, said Azizul Haq, officer-in-charge of Katakhali Highway police camp.
The accident took place around 9 am when a Dhaka-bound bus from Rayenda hit a motorbike carrying three people, leaving Anisuazzaman killed on the spot and injured two others, police said.
The injured were taken to Khulna Medical College Hospital where the doctors declared Ranisa dead, he added.
