Due to commitments in IPL, Bangladesh Pacer Mustafizur could not join the rest of the team for conditioning camp in Sussex, who are taking preparation themselves for the Tri-Nation Series in Ireland and the ICC Champions Trophy.
Now as the IPL campaign finishes for this season Mustafizur is returning Dhaka on Wednesday. He is set to board a flight to England Thursday night after a brief stay in country.
Mustafizur, also known as ‘Fizz’, missed the first two IPL matches of his franchise Hyderabad for the Sri Lanka Series.
After returning from Sri Lanka he went to play in IPL after a week of intermission in Bangladesh. He was called on to play the next day against Mumbai just after his arrival.
A dismal performance of 34 runs for no wickets in 2.4 overs sealed his fate for the rest of the season as he couldn’t make it to the playing 11 in any match after that. He was rarely spotted in the dugout and spent most match days in team hotel. Though he was out of the field, he was not out of the Gym. He regularly trained to keep himself fit for upcoming national assignments.
Another Bangladeshi Star Cricketer Shakib al Hasan is scheduled to return to Dhaka Thursday after a not so good IPL campaign for Kolkata. He was supposed to take a flight to London from Kolkata but he is returning to attend his sister’s wedding ceremony.
Shakib will depart Dhaka for London on evening along with Mustafizur. Bangladesh ODI skipper Mashrafe is also expected to join them on the flight.
