Gandaria gas leak fire burns 7

Seven members of a family have suffered burn injuries in a fire caused by gas leak at their residence in Dhaka’s Gandaria area early Wednesday.

The victims are Sharifa, her mother Shahida Begum, father Sharif Ahmed, brother Shuvo, grandmother Aleya, uncle Ali Akbar and aunt Shahanaj Begum.

The wounded were admitted to Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH).

Of the injured, Sharifa received two percent burn injuries while Shahida and Sharif with 25 and 45 respectively while Shuvo has been suffering from eight percent injuries, Aleya received 33 percent injuries, Shahanaj received nine percent burn injuries and Ali Akbar received 25 percent burn injuries.
