A mild to moderate heat wave sweeping over Dhaka, Rajshahi and Khulna divisions may continue, the Met Office said in its regular weather forecast on Friday.
The heat wave is also affecting areas in Noakhali and Dinajpur.
In its 24-hour forecast until 6pm Saturday, the Met Office said that rain and thunder showers, accompanied by temporary gusty or squally wind, is likely to occur in parts of Rajshahi, Rangpur, Mymensingh and Sylhet divisions.
The temperature may also fall.
Friday’s highest temperature was recorded in Rajshahi at 39.5 degree Celsius. The lowest, 23.3 degree Celsius, was recorded in Tetulia.
