During a meeting of the Board of Governors of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) in Vienna, Iran unequivocally stated that its nuclear capabilities cannot be destroyed through military attacks or the assassination of scientists. Tehran issued this warning in an official statement on Tuesday, September 8.
The statement affirmed that Iran’s nuclear technology is not solely dependent on physical infrastructure. Instead, it is built upon the nation’s long-accumulated knowledge, unwavering determination, and specialized human resources. When science takes root among people, it spreads from generation to generation, and no power can erase it.
While not dismissing the possibility of damage to its nuclear facilities from potential aggression by the United States and Israel, Iran emphasized that this achievement is not a temporary endeavor but rather a sustainable outcome of long-term investment and the development of its indigenous infrastructure.
Furthermore, Tehran reiterated that its nuclear program is entirely geared towards peaceful purposes. This capability is regularly utilized in various public welfare sectors, including agricultural development, environmental protection, food preservation, the use of radioactive isotopes in medicine, and radiation technology in industrial sectors.
