Staff Reporter:A Dhaka court on Sunday put Jama�atul Mujahideen Bangladesh (JMB) member Md Mizanur Rahman on a three-day remand in a case filed under the Anti-Terrorism Act.
Metropolitan Magistrate Debabrata Bishwash delivered the remand order after Sub-Inspector Mohammed Delwar Hossain of Counter-Terrorism and Transnational Crime (CTTC), also the investigation officer of the case, produced him before the court with a seven-day remand prayer.
In the remand prayer, the IO said the accused is an active JMB member who has been supplying arms, ammunition, and explosives-making materials to facilitate militant activities in the capital for a long time. The case was filed with Darus Salam Police Station on November 2 accusing three persons including Mizan.
A CTTC team unit of the Dhaka Metropolitan Police held Mizan, 60, in a bus near Kakoli crossing in the capital on March 1.
