Staff Correspondent:A Gaibandha court on Tuesday granted a three-day remand on Ranju Miah, a suspected accused in the case of arson attack on a girls' school at Kunderpara in Sadar upazila.
Additional chief judicial magistrate of Gaibandha court Moinul Hasan passed the order after police produced him before his court asking for a 7-day remand for the accused.
On January 29, police arrested Ranju, 45, son of Md Mojibur Rahman, a resident of Kunderpara Pardiyara village in Sadar upazila in connection with the attack.
Earlier, officer-in-charge of Gaibandha Sadar police Mehdi Hasan informed media that they were investigating the matter and anyone responsible for the fire would be arrested.
