Staff Correspondent: Member of Parliament and Awami League (AL) leader Manjurul Islam Liton, who was shot dead by some miscreants on Saturday, was laid to rest at his village home at Masterpara in Sundarganj upazila of Gaibandha district on Monday afternoon.
He was buried near his parents� graveyard around 4. 10 pm following a namaz-e-janaza after Asar prayers.
The helicopter carrying his body arrived his village home around 1.00 pm.
Earlier, another namaz-e-janaza of the slain MP was held at the South Plaza of Jatiya Sangsad on Monday morning.
