Brazil’s star footballer Neymar will miss the second group stage match due to injury. The Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF) has announced that he will not be traveling with the team to Philadelphia, to focus entirely on his rehabilitation.

According to the CBF, Neymar will remain in New Jersey to fully regain his fitness. There, he will continue his rehabilitation exercises, utilizing the modern facilities available at the hotel and training center.

Earlier, Brazil drew 1-1 against Morocco in their first group stage match of the World Cup. Neymar was sidelined for that game as well due to injury and was not even included in the match squad.

However, the Brazilian star is showing signs of gradual recovery. Reports from the country’s media indicate that he has trained for some time with his teammates during open practice sessions and is also undergoing separate rehabilitation activities under the supervision of fitness coaches.

Despite his progress, the Brazilian Football Confederation has not yet announced a specific timeline for his return to the field.
