The Awami League general secretary and road and bridge minister Obaidul Quader met the president Abdul Hamid at Bangabhaban on Monday noon.
He had been staying there for one hour and a half.
The Awami League general secretary met the president two days after he had met the chief justice, Surendra Kumar Sinha, to notify him of the party’s stance on the observations of the Appellate Division verdict upholding cancelling of the 16th amendment to the constitution.
The chief Justice on Monday also met the president to exchange greetings of on the occasion of Janmashtami. He left Bangabhaban little before Quader went there.
