DB (Detective Branch) have detained a man from Tongi in Gazipur city night in regard with the ASP Mizanur Rahman murder case.
Masudur Rahman, deputy commissioner (Media) of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP), said detectives held Shah Alam from Tongi on Saturday night.
The details of the arrest will be revealed later at a press briefing at DMP media centre, Masud added.
ASP Mizanur Rahman of Dhaka Highway Police was found dead at Mirpur Beribandh (Embankment) in the city's Rupnagar area on June 21.
