Sports Desk: Though Bangladesh lost the Christchurch Test in three days by displaying poor performance as a team, star all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan moves forward one step in both batsman and bowler rankings of ICC in Test.
He reaches at his career best ranked at 22nd place for Test batsmen with knocks of 59 and eight, following up his 217-run innings in New Zealand, the highest individual score by a Bangladesh batsman.
Shakib has also moved up a place to the 14th spot in rankings for Test bowlers after clinching four wickets in the Wellington Test.
Though Shakib has spent 767 days as the worlds top all-rounder between December 2011 and December 2015, his combined effort which included four wickets in Christchurch, has seen him reach a career-high rating of 443 points following table topper Ashwin.
