Law Minister Anisul Huq on Friday said BNP acting chairman Tarique Rahman will be brought back home to execute court verdicts against him.
“Tarique has talked of filing cases over the election. But, we’ll bring him back home to execute verdicts against him,” he said while addressing a reception accorded to him on the Akhaura upazila parishad premises.
The upazila unit Awami League organised the reception following his victory in the December-30 election and reappointment as the law minister.
Anisul also came down hard on Jatiya Oikyafront convener Dr Kamal Hossain, saying, “Although he introduced himself as the framer of the constitution and a renowned lawyer, he never spoke in favour of the trial of the killers of Bangabandhu for whom he got the recognition.”
He continued, “Finally, his true colour has got exposed. He joined BNP and took part in the election of Sheaf of Paddy.” unb.
