At least 50 passengers were dead after US-Bangla Airlines aircraft reportedly crashed at Kathmandu International Airport on Monday. The flight had 72 passengers on board. The flight skidded off the runway while landing, according to a Nepali daily report.
According to Nepali Times, the aircraft crashed after having crossed the threshold of Runway 02 (south-to-north) and apparently touched down. A plume of black smoke marked the site of the crash at the start of the runaway.
