Prime Minister Tarique Rahman has urged world leaders to work together based on mutual cooperation, empathy, and a sense of shared responsibility to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
He made this appeal in a video message sent to the ‘SDG Moment’ event, organized by the United Nations yesterday, Friday.
The Prime Minister’s Assistant Press Secretary, K M Nazmul Haque, confirmed this information.
In his video message, Prime Minister Tarique Rahman stated, “We are significantly behind in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals. We must now take effective steps, and everyone must work together.”
The Prime Minister’s message emphasized strengthening international partnerships, exchanging experiences, and undertaking collective initiatives for SDG implementation.
Notably, Prime Minister Tarique Rahman will depart Dhaka for New York, USA, next Monday (September 21) to attend the 81st high-level session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA-81).
