Chittagong Royals ignored Dhaka Capitals in the first match of the day in Bangladesh Premier League (BPL). Sagarpar’s team defeated Dhaka by a huge margin of 10 wickets in fifties by the team’s two openers, Adam Rushington and Mohammad Naeem Sheikh.

Dhaka Capitals scored only 122 runs after losing all wickets at the beginning of the match. In response, Chittagong’s victory was confirmed with 44 balls and 10 wickets in hand.

Chittagong did not take any pressure to bat against a modest target of 123 runs. In the beginning, the two openers Adam Rushington and Mohammad Naeem Sheikh started playing a little bit. Gradually they began to be aggressive towards the bowlers of Dhaka. Chittagong’s victory was confirmed by the unstoppable 123-run pair of the two.

Both have met fifty. Rushington remained unbeaten on 60 runs off just 36 balls with nine fours and two sixes. And Naeem remained unbeaten with 56 runs off 40 balls with seven fours and one six.

Earlier, Chittagong Royals captain Sheikh Mehedi Hasan invited Dhaka to bat at the start of the match at the Sylhet International Cricket Stadium. Chittagong pacer Shariful Islam did not let Dhaka start well. He sent back two openers in the power play. Saif Hasan scored 1 and Zubaid Akbari 2 runs before getting out.

Meanwhile, 21 runs came from the bat of Usman Khan. Mohammad Mithun scored 8, Shamim Hossain 4, Sabbir Rahman 9 and Imad Wasim 9 runs in the procession.

Mohammed Saifuddin and Nasir Hossain made an effective partnership of 48 runs in the eighth wicket partnership. With that, Dhaka Capitals crossed a hundred. Saifuddin played the highest innings of 33 runs for the team. 17 runs came from Nasir’s bat. And Taskin 5 and Salman Mirza were out for 0 runs.

Chittagong’s most successful bowler is Tanveer Islam. He took the maximum three wickets at the cost of only 8 runs by bowling 4 overs. And Shariful Islam also took three wickets at the cost of 18 runs. Besides, Sheikh Mehdi Hasan took two wickets and Amir Jamal took one wicket each.
