Chief Adviser Dr. Muhammad Yunus will hold meetings with BNP, Jamaat, and NCP this afternoon (Sunday) to discuss the upcoming 13th parliamentary election and the current political situation.

Shafiqul Alam, press secretary to the Chief Adviser, said the meetings will follow a schedule: BNP at 3:00 p.m., Jamaat at 4:30 p.m., and NCP at 6:00 p.m. Discussions will focus on the present political climate and election-related matters.

Shafiqul Alam added that the decision was taken at a meeting led by Chief Adviser Muhammad Yunus on Saturday at Jamuna. Several advisers, including National Security Adviser Khalilur Rahman and Chief Adviser’s special assistant for home affairs Khoda Baksh Chowdhury, were present.

In a statement, the Chief Adviser’s office reiterated that the next national election will be held in the first half of February 2026. “This is a firm commitment of the interim government to the people of Bangladesh. Any conspiracy, obstruction, or effort to delay or disrupt the election will be strongly resisted by the interim government and our pro-democracy patriotic citizens. The will of the people will prevail, and no malevolent force will be allowed to hinder our democratic progress,” the statement said.
