Former president Barack Obama told Democrats gathering in Chicago Tuesday that the United States was “ready” for Kamala Harris to be president.
“And Kamala Harris is ready for the job. This is a person who has spent her life fighting for people who need a voice,” Obama said to loud cheers at the Democratic National Convention.
