US President Donald Trump has intensified his demand to arrest Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro and take him to the United States. Sharing a new photo on the social media site Truth Social, he claimed that Nicolás Maduro is currently staying on the USS Iyo Jima.

A photo shared by Trump shows a man in a gray tracksuit, who appears to be Maduro. The person has an eye-mask on his eyes and headphones on his ears. Trump claims, the picture is the inside view of the warship and the president of Venezuela is detained there.

In an earlier telephone interview with Fox News, Trump said Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro and his wife Celia Flores had been taken by helicopter to a warship and were being flown to New York. He said that formal charges have been filed against them in New York.

Trump said, “They were taken to the ship by helicopter. Sundar went on a flight- I’m sure they enjoyed it. But it must be remembered, they have killed many people. He claimed that Maduro and his wife are involved in the killing of many US citizens in addition to their own countrymen.

Describing the place where Maduro was detained, Trump said it was no ordinary house, but like a fortress. It was surrounded by steel. He also said that the operation was delayed by four days due to adverse weather conditions. Later the expedition was ordered as the weather suddenly turned favourable.

Excited about the speed and intensity of the raid, Trump said he was watching the entire event as if he were watching a television show. According to him, the speed and speed of the operation was incredible and no other country in the world could have carried out such a strategic operation.

There has been extensive discussion and controversy in the international arena around these claims and published pictures of Trump. However, the Venezuelan government has not yet officially acknowledged the truth of these claims.
